Introduction
During this project we were assigned to choose a tutorial or multiple that will take about 3-4 weeks in time to complete. That is about 8-10 class periods. We had to research and find something to recreate to make it a wonderful project. I choose to use a tutorial that shows how to make a glowing paint effect and another small tutorial of making it into almost an app cover. Since these didn't take long to do (2-3 days per album) I did three different album covers to make into app's.
Early Versions

These are the early versions of the project.I utilized many tools in photoshop to create these. These took a long time and a lot of concentration to create. Then I asked my classmates what I should do better to improve my project. They said:

Final Versions
Above you can see my final version of the app's. I choose to do the white glow effect on all of them because I felt that it looked the best with the color scheme of the albums. To make the glow what I did was used the pen tool to outline the object I wanted to glow. Then I went into the drop down menu to the right side of photoshop and clicked stroke path. This created the visible outline with the color I had choose. After I did this it sort of just looked like a white stroke line. To make it have the glow effect I went to filter -> blur -> gaussian blur (1.6). I did this for every thing I wanted to glow. The slideshow on the right displays the palette in photoshop. It doesn't look like I did a lot, but most of the work does not show up on the palate for this particular project. For the app portion of it, I went a little off of the tutorial. I did everything in the tutorial to make the rounded rectangle shape and get the album into it. Then thats where the tutorial finished. But I thought that it did not look right. So then I used some filters in Photoshop to give it more of a look. I used inner shadow, inner glow, satin, and others to make the albums look more like an application.

Reflection
I think that this project I choose was a fun and good project to do. It taught me some Photoshop tools I have never been exposed to before. For example, I haven't used or tried to do any sort of glow at all. Now that I know I can utilize it in other projects. I think during the whole project I worked pretty diligently. One thing I could've done better was complete more albums or incorporated another tutorial to make it more complicated. Having to do a project and choose it was good because it gave me the opportunity to choose basically anything I wanted to do. When I saw these tutorials it struck my mind. I have a huge interest in music and thought that this would be a great project for me to do. Then it needed to be more complicated so I decided to incorporate an app for a phone. Overall, I think that this project was good for me to learn many in's and out's in Photoshop. Also to use my skills I've learned and put them to use.
These are the final album covers. You can see that on each album they have a glow. For the Beyonce album I used the glow effect on the letters in white. For the Lady Gaga album I used the glow effect around Lady Gaga's figure. Lastly for Ed Sheeren, I did it around the "X" and some parts of his body. All of the glow that I used were white. Then for the album cover I used techniques such as "inner glow" , "inner shadow" , and "stroke."
